Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
PaperDay ("the app") is developed by Hugo Software. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your data stays on your device.
What we do NOT do
- No user accounts, no sign-up, no email collection
- No advertising and no ad SDKs
- No analytics or tracking SDKs
- No crash-reporting SDKs
- We operate no backend server and store no user data anywhere
Data the app handles on your device
- Calendar — with your permission, PaperDay reads the calendar already on your phone (via Android's Calendar Provider) purely to display your events on paper pages. Calendar data is never transmitted off your device.
- Camera — used only when you open the washi Tape Cutter or create stickers. Frames are processed on-device; nothing is uploaded.
- Photos — photos you choose through the system picker are used to cut stickers and washi tape. They are processed and stored locally.
- Drawings, notes and decorations — stored only in the app's local storage on your device.
The only network requests
- Weather (Open-Meteo) — to show weather, sunrise and sunset on your pages, the app sends your approximate coordinates (or a default city if you deny location permission) to the Open-Meteo weather API. No identifiers accompany the request, and we store nothing server-side.
- Google Play Billing — the optional one-time "PaperDay Plus" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. See Google's privacy policy.
Data deletion
All app data lives on your device. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, permanently deletes everything. See also our data removal page.
Children
PaperDay is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
